Underwriting Agencies of Australia (UAA) is a specialist underwriting agency providing tailored insurance solutions for construction equipment, mobile plant and machinery across Australia, NZ and Singapore.

UAA was under pressure. Tight head office deadlines, high transaction volumes and a complex structure made budgeting and consolidation feel like climbing a mountain. With no internal staff ready to step in, outdated systems, and slow processes, stress levels were high – and the departure of any key team member could have derailed everything.
The demands of reporting and tight deadlines gave UAA a chance to strengthen its finance function. With no internal staff ready and outdated systems adding risk, moving the finance role external and segregating duties could improve continuity, efficiency, and accuracy. Tackling large transaction volumes and the complex structure positioned the business to meet deadlines, reduce risk, and support sustainable growth.
