With the festive season already in full swing and that much-needed end-of-year break in sight, we just wanted to pause and thank you for another year of support— and wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas.
This year has been another busy one for us, and we hope we’ve met your expectations, helped you solve some problems, and provided insight and value.
We know what we do wouldn’t be possible without our fantastic (and growing) team, so a big thanks also to them. Their commitment to our work and our clients doesn’t go unnoticed.
Some of you have hit big milestones this year, celebrating 20, 50 and 85 years in business—a testament to resilience, growth and shared achievements. We’ve also seen you winning awards and being appointed to boards. Congratulations on these well-deserved accomplishments.
As for our own highlights, we’re proud to have assisted in numerous successful business sales, supported clients in pursuing acquisitions for growth, and facilitated strategies for succession planning and employee retention—the latter taking on greater importance since COVID.
Our main focus as a business here at Maxim Advisors over the past 12 months has been on values, consistency, efficiency, and systems and processes. The message of ‘working on your business, not just in it’ has also remained strong.
Staff milestones have included five, 10 and 15-year work anniversaries, internal promotions, and university and CA achievements, as well as babies and purchasing and renovating homes. Ongoing employee training and development has also been a priority.
Another thing to share is that our now Chief Operational Officer (COO), Erin Marney, made finalist for Outstanding Employee of the Year at the Business Hunter Awards—an accolade that was so well deserved.
In addition to this, our team has enjoyed many social events, from Rippit Golf to Gold Class Movie Night, and been involved in various charity initiatives, including RMHC Meals from the Heart, Movember and the Sleapy Foundation’s Sleap Walk.
If your year’s been a busy one like ours, we hope you manage some downtime over the coming weeks. Spend time with family and friends, reflect on your goals and be ready to enter 2025 fresh and focused. Let’s make it a good one, together!
All the best,
Kellie Wright
